FACE Program

The Family and Child Education program at Dunseith Day School supports families with children from prenatal through age eight. FACE promotes early childhood development, adult education, and family engagement through three connected components:
- Home-based Services
- Preschool Education
- Adult Education.
Home-Based Services
The home-based component is designed for families with children from prenatal age through age five. Trained FACE parent educators visit families twice each month and provide:
- Developmentally appropriate, literacy-focused activities.
- Opportunities for parents/guardians and children to learn and play together.
- Guidance on early childhood development and school readiness.
Preschool Education
FACE also offers a center-based preschool program for children ages three to five. The classroom serves 10 to 15 students and promotes early learning through structured and child-led activities.
- Classes are held Monday through Thursday.
- Parents or guardians attend alongside their child.
- Daily Parent and Child Together Time promotes bonding and early learning through shared activities in a supportive setting.
Adult Education
While children participate in preschool, parents or guardians of children ages three to eight may participate in the FACE Adult Education Program. This program helps adults strengthen their skills for success at home, in school, and in the workforce.
Adult Education offerings include:
- GED preparation and high school diploma support
- College readiness and online coursework
- Resume writing and career planning
- Parent journal writing and personal growth
- Technology and computer literacy
- Cultural projects such as beading and sewing
- Parenting strategies and child development education
